So I trusted a fellow in Los Lunas that the Warrior I was about to buy really only needed a carburetor adjustment. I paid my $1000, got home, and discovered a broken cam plus two bent valves. Problem is the motor had signs that someone very recently opened it up. Long story short he conned me and I was dumb enough to fall for it. So what do you do with a good chassis that needs a re-power. You strip down your 1994 YZ250 that didn't survive the last wreck. Now you are looking at the Warrior YZ, or the YFM250R you decide what you like best.

Thank you, it was productive weekend to say the least. So far I haven't had it out of first, but it moves around the yard well. I finished it about thirty minutes ago lol.

Cant really on this one. The swing arm has no provision for a motor mount. On top of that the chain would not line up if I had. Using the drop brackets was the best way I think.

No problem I think Tuesday will be D-Day. Hopefully I can get the carb tuned back in lol. It was upset about the new exhaust and intake.

Vids vids vids!!! Looks great! Wardogs are never a waste of time, no matter what you wanna do with them.

2 Stroke POWAH! The rads up front like that see kind of iffy, I'd relocate if possable. But I do enjoy a good hybrid quad.

Awesome sauce. I want to see some video!!

the 490 kicker is a lot longer tho ... plus his motor is 3-4 inch farther forward then your's mathius

Believe it or not the kick starter clears well. I plan to armour up the rads soon. Time will tell lol.

Yah I noticed that.. His is frame mounted, as where I came off the swinger.
I was a bit sketchy about doing that on the 490, cause of the vibes. It also makes monster torque.
I think the 250 would be fine the way it's mounted. Just because it doesn't pull real hard till the powerband, and the vibes are pretty tame..
I also think a Banshee rad would fit the Warrior pretty good..

I like this quad.. It makes me wanna push hard to finish the 490.
