Ive said it before and Ill say it again.....I kinda like being the underdog. That way when you kick someones ass on the warrior it hurts even more! I dig the hell out of the dutchman and I dont give a **** what people say about it!
 
If u can hang with him on the trails now why not upgrade the engine with a few bolt ons see what happens.. I think the warrior handles pretty decent stock, id put a few dollars into goin faster then smoke his ass... How much btr will it feel to burn him on an old shitty WARRIOR !!!! That would shut him up pretty quick...

I rode my uncles stock '08 400ex through a field July 2nd 2011, when he came down to visit. Thought it was nice, I wan't as thrilled as I thought I would be. Then, the next day, I had to ride my buds '88 Warrior that I rebuilt. Only perf mods are DG steel slip on, and a wiseco 10.25:1 w/newer raptor 350 head. It was nothing to stay ahead of my uncle out on the trails in BV (ask '00 WO YA!, he'll vouch for the trails). SO, I decided to get a warrior. Managed to find an 88, too.

I can't freakin wait for this stroker to be done! BTW, I won an FCR last night on Ebay for 105 shipped!

I think all total from making mine ridable after getting it, to beefing it up, to ding the resto and stroker; I have to have somewhere around 6k in it.
 
Ya see I have about 80 bucks into my warrior, and I bought it for 800. So yeah, I have nothing into it right now! (The only mods I know it has is what the guy told me was on it.)
 
I only have $1500 tho, I looked around for something bigger& used and everything I liked was at least $2600. I went to a few dealerships and searched craigslist and seems like this would be my best option.

Yep and me I'm the kind of guy that likes a mild or stock motor but suspension is where I like to get creative and spend some money on, myself and Weston are the ones that can tell how to properly set up a suspension and the dynamics of chassis design
 
This is a good place to rely on! Lots of good people on here. I couldnt have gotten mine as far as it is without this site!

You don't have to even buy spacers man, you can just flip the rear wheels and get what you need. You're on the right track with these mods. Suspension really is a killer on these bikes.

If your patient and dont have to have brand new stuff, you can make that 1500 go quite a ways. Ive got just a bit over $2000 in mine out of pocket and that includes getting it.
 
Nice! I paid $1300 for mine. I really didn't find alot of used stuff on craigslist. It's mostly OEM Parts. And have u guys ever heard of FullFlight A-Arms? Idk if it's a knock off brand or not. I noticed it's the cheapest iv came across.lol Usually u get wat u pay for.. Ugh! It's kinda frustrating comparing prices and appearances. For an example, I could say fk the suspension and get and new front bumper, chain rollers, deadlast graphics, and alot more.. Lol
