    running with bent valve

    this is the only thing that makes sense. my exhaust valve is not sealed like it should be. when looking at the sealing area of the valve, about one quarter is black. the seat is all silver in color. is this normal, or did whoever not lap the valve whenever? the reason i say running on bent valve...

    battery acts undervolt or under amp

    battery was @12.9 this morning, but wouldn't crank. i put the charger on it @4A, and it starts. it is not the stock battery, it is a 14AHBS. if not a battery issue, must be a regulator issue. any ideas? thanks in advance.

    harmonic puller stripped!

    so i was trying to remove my warrior's rotor, with heat, and my puller stripped out. i bent two main screws in the puller, used a breakover bar with 2' cheater pipe, used the impact. nothing worked. i oiled the impact this last time, and it seemed like it was coming off. so keep the trigger...

    spark, comp, fuel check

    so i have the requisites, but the thing will only pull start. it currently has the 'short sweep' rotor on it. i would change it out, except, when using my harmonic puller, it bent the crap out of my puller's bolt. i got another bolt, it bent it too. my bro must've jammed the rotor in place...

    starter oil grounding?

    is this a common problem on the yfm series? i've ran into it a few times on other machines, and forgot all about it on my warrior. since it has plenty of spark, fuel and comp, it very well could be mica build-up, or oil on the brushes. i'll be pulling mine down to check.

    fuse, 10A or 15A

    i looked at 4 different shop's fiche. 2 say 10, 2 say 15 for the '99 warrior xl. could this cause any problems with starting?

    ok, it ran when i bought it, though it had to be pull started. it was running an '87 rotor w/'99 stator. the main power lead did not have a fuse and was twisted together. same with the key switch. in fixing those problems, i cannot get the pos to spark. i swapped in the '87 stator (minus a...
