It looks like the long bolt they had sheared and they welded the carrier to the swingarm. I will probably cut the crossbar out and use the original setup. Do the upper bolts thread into the swingarm or do they use a nut on the end. ?

Ha thanks. The pictures I see online dont show the bar going across the top. Has that been added. Basically im just trying to figure what size hardware I need to if it right after I grind off the welds.

Notice the beautiful welds. This is on the 87 I bought for 200. I have a 91 but this is different so im not sure what I will need to fix this right. After I grind off the welds of course.

I need the bearing carrier hardware.

If I remember correctly the washer goes with the needle and the spring is a replacement for the idle adjustment screw.

Dang, just rebuilt mine. Shindy kit. no idle adjustment screw. OEM is $15 for the adjuster. seems excessive. Do you have your old one laying around?

I had the same thing happen. I sprayed it with pb blaster. Let it set a few hours. Then smacked the end of the broken stud with a hammer. After than I was able to turn it out with vice grips. Hitting it with a hammer breaks loose the corrosion between the steel stud and aluminum head.

I've probably got 25 min total on it. The smoke from the exhaust seem to be drecreasing but when I put it up for the night there was smoke coming off the head and out of the tube that come up out of the airbox

I rode it for a good 20 min. Smoke seems to be less but now it sits there smoking after I shut it off and tere is smoke coming out of the airbox.

Also it only does it when warm

Well its not burning off haha. This thing smokes worse than a two stroke. When I bought this it burned oil something terrible and it was all over the tailpipe. Now after I put in a new top end it runs exactly the same. Oil dripping out of the tailpipe. Could it be something in the head?

Can I run the parking brake with the cable removed? Meaning until I get a block off will it be fine leaving the assembly on without the cable?
