Not sure if you checked or not but see if there is a crack in the intake boot on the carb... Will cause same problems... Happened to me twice...

Yeah... I have a set in mine... Lasted 3 years so far... that includes pulling my buddies go-cart up some long steep hills after it broke down a few times... even pulled some rather large logs up my hill too. And it is still doin good. So it may not be the best but for $40 it has been well worth...

OK... I set the timing and the valves last weekend... seems that it may have stopped some the oscillation but there is still some there while idling... as soon as i give it a bit of gas it smooths out... she has been running fine... so I guess its just supposed to be that way...
