    Coolant fill cap

I'm running a lid off of a quart of oil. Has stayed on over 1000 miles now and I ride mud, swamps, hills, sand, creeks, etc. Haven't lost it or has anything ever got in the tank.

Clutch Housing Shaft Nut Came off?

The reason for it coming off could be anything from noy enough torque to begin with or any other number of things. I'm guessing your torque wrench is not the correct spec style. Some use inch pounds some foot pounds and some newton meters. I can't remember which is correct but I went 10-20 over...

Clutch Housing Shaft Nut Came off?

If it messed up the threads take it to a machine shop to have it rethreaded (Metric 16x1.00 pitch). Whole lot cheaper. Mine did the same thing the local shop couldn't rethread it but they were able to take out the first two rows of threads which worked just as good and it only cost $30.

    Wheels

Clear fingernail polish. Works just as good as locktight but much easier to break loose and a whole lot cheaper. My wife actually showed me this trick while fixing a loose screw on a pair of sunglasses and I have used it on everything from a nut on the ball on my trailer hitch to wheel studs.

    Primary Sheave Shaft

The local mechanics around here don't fool much with German cars that much and those seem to be the only ones using a M16x1.00 threaded shaft. I've heard really negative things about a local machine shop aka ruining a friends $2000 Harley wheel trying to replace pressed in bearings.

    Primary Sheave Shaft

Hey guys, I have a slight problem. The nut on my clutch sheave shaft backed off and messed up the two threads at the end of the shaft. I'm looking for a metric 16 x 1.00 pitch thread chaser to fix it. Does anyone know where to get one reasonably priced? I've found a few online but I can get a...

    new member.. carb rebuild kits?

Can't help with the carb rebuild but MOST of the cd manuals you can get online (fairly cheap) are just as good as one you would get from Yamaha (not cheap) dice most are just PDF versions that someone has scanned and reformatted for resale. And in my opinion cd's are better because you can print...

    New to the Site

Wolverine is back running today after a new solenoid. Hopefully will post some pics tomorrow. Still looks all stock. Swapped the FMF for a stock muffler with baffles removed and custom mandrel bent 2" pipe from head to muffler. Seems to breath a lot better than with FMF (which was for WR250F and...

    Clutch info needed....

EPI makes a nice clutch kit. Not sure if they have one for that model year. I was going to put the kit in my 450 auto 2007 but after talking to EPI directly they told me I wouldn't need it if I wasn't going bigger than 25" tires but again that was a 450 auto. Check with EPI and see what they...

    07 Wolverine upgrades..good or not?

Also the EPI clutch kit is not a necessity if you do not plan on running tires larger than the 25's.

    New to the Site

Hey everyone, Eric Flannery in Grayson, KY here. Recently bought a 2007 Wolverine 450 that needed a crankshaft. Myself and a friend of mine completely stripped the motor down to nothing but empty cases. I had the crank rebuilt at Mr. Crankshaft in Benton, KY (excellent worker and awesome...

    Starter Relay Solenoid

I'm not sure if this has been addressed before but here goes. I am needing a starter relay solenoid for a 2007 Wolverine 450. The local Yamaha dealer closed a couple of years ago. There are multiple Kawasaki, Suzuki, Polaris, Can-Am, etc. dealers in my area. The question I have is would there...

    450 rod bearing replacement

Not sure where you are located but I just finished up a complete rebuild (new head, new piston, new cam, rebuilt crank, etc) on a 2007 Woverine 450 yesterday. I would highly recommend Mr. Crnakshaft in Benton, Ky to rebuild your crankshaft. I had over 1/8" of up and down play due to the previous...
