Really depends how bad its worn, ridges on the teeth are a bad sign. Also before ya spend a lot on a durablue axle remember they don't cover the teeth..splines on the lifetime warranty. I got one off ebay. it stripped in a month so i had the original resplined by a good machine shop, cost me...

Where is it smoking from? The header that go's into the block? you could have a weak seal between the header and the block. When you replace or remove the exhaust you should replace the gasket between them. And once replaced it, it should be run up to temperature and then tighten the header...

When u pull or push on the front tire, determine if its the connection at the upper A arm or lower A arms connection points, The ball joints. Uppers are only replaceable with the whole arm as there welded in place. I cant remember if the lowers are replaceable or not? I wouldn't drive it too...

When changing the axle, change the ring gear too or you will be wasting your money. Seen Durablue axles not last a month without changing the ring gear too. A worn ring gear will not mesh correctly with a new axle.

Anyone else have the mounts break on the 4-2-4? I've seen them break and it's not nice in the trail. When the mount breaks the 424 will turn with the shaft and pretty much take out your header. Mount for this item needs to be heavily modified. It is a nice item but not built for wolvy bashers...
