    Need some help!!!!

Hi, Its been a while since I have posted. Been there as my diiff seals/bearings were bad and had milk in the diff when I purchased it. Tore down only to find the axle splines were rusted & worn when meshed to ring splines. Thought the same as you for machine shop to cut new splines but that was...

    First line of defense

Dirt..Dirt..Dirt..=Carb problems. I,m guilty of not straining my fuel before dumping it into the quad. Then the bike runs like crap and somehow I think that cheap inline filter is going to keep all the crap out of my carb--& it doesn't! I don't think we all realize how dirty the fuel is inside...

    Really cool winch method

Was stalking the internet for some winch mount methods and come across this cool idea. I'm not satisfied with mounting a winch so low in the front frame that it eats dirt/mud and freezes. I would like to see an idea engineered to get the winch mounted up higher and yet can be cabled to pull from...

    a few questions

Hi, Can use a Yamalube oil for 7.99 a quart but I just found a 10w-30 motorcycle oil at Advance Auto for 3.99 per/qrt. Its a wet clutch bike so make sure you put in a JASO-MA certified oil in that's specificly designed for wet clutch transmissions!

Hi Howie, Welcome. Sounds like me as well with finding places to ride. Anyway when it comes time to fix your ride there is a lot of good info here.

    Bent Axle

Hi, Don't let that Wolvy get you down. Rear axles are not that bad to replace. First make sure your rear bearings are o.k. Lift rear and check for bearing play-lift tires in up/down fassion. Get a repare cd off e-bay for the Wolvy-invaluable (like $5.00). Strictly from memory: Take R&L...

    Bent Axle

Assuming you know for sure it's a bent axle & not a rim, I would be dubious about buying a used axle. When I purchased my quad used, I had to do the rear bearings. Tore the diff apart and put new bearings in due to water contamination. The splines were the ring gear mesh with the axle were...

    Carb Trouble

Hi, No a kit does not come with a diaphram. There $100.00 to replace? Make sure the slide is sliding and not binding. Is the spring in place? Hold diaphram up to the light and notice NO pin holes. If so---put a little silicone on it. Thats what a diaphragm does & they do stretch. keep trying &...

Will a wolverine fit 2 adults

Well, before you buy it, try it with your companion. Mono shock in rear will not give much travel with two adults on unit. However, I built a box around the rear luggage rack and padded a seat. I put three small children there. My 14 year old rides on the seat w/me. We all wear helmets and...

Where to buy Fender Flares (Overfenders) for '01 Wolverine

Overfenders I don't know were you can buy some fenders but I made some. Used some heavy gauge rubber material (1/4") came in a roll that is used for making tractor-trailor truck mud flaps. Cut them in "L" shape for front & rear. They look factory! Mounted them under the fenders and cut copper...

what performance mods to go with

Performance--hmm---tricky word. Once mods done and jetted correctly your snap & throttle response will be noticeable. Don't forget your dealing with a 348cc & semi-auto clutch---It's no Raptor.

what performance mods to go with

Hi Meatz, Assuming you have a 350cc I can spend your money: 1) Wiseco high comp. piston & gaskt set. 2) Repare head/valves replace??etc.... 3) HMF exaust. Forget the custom dual pipe thing. 4) 424 Warn kit 5) K&N Intake kit & Jet kit. That right there I think will bust the budget. $All...

    My ATV

Hi Wolve, I had my swingarm out this last spring & is not too bad. I saw your post with water in the fuel & liked it. I would recomend getting a repare cd off e-bay for less than $10.00 it helped me. From what I can remember here is the short version: Check rear wheal bearings for play, now...

    Wolverine or Rancher 420 4x4 5 Speed

RADICAL--WOW--you doubled you'r $3500 tops price range! I think you will do just fine in the snow & muck. My riding pal put some Maxis Sure Trac tires on the drive of his KFX 400 & I was shocked at the places he could go. You got 10.5" of ground clearance to help & plenty of steam for a head...

    PLACES TO RIDE

Underground mines sounds really cool. We took a really nice trip to Marienville Pa. to the Allegheney National Forest. The sign also sais, "The Land Of Many Uses". Here is a State that actually gets it! We had some of the best riding ever here and will make the trip again. One section of trail...

    Wolverine or Rancher 420 4x4 5 Speed

Nothing more than what you are used to-fuel, air filter etc..etc..Maybe you will be able to post some pics when you get your new ride. I havent posted pics only because I am digital technology impared. Maybe I will get my six year old to upload my Wolvy pictures. Hunting season has me shut down...

    Wolverine or Rancher 420 4x4 5 Speed

If you shop around & stick with your $3500 tops price range, you can't go wrong on a great condition Wolvy 2005 or older. A Warn unlocker is a must for you & is worth the cost for this model. My 1998 is no torque monster but halls my 220lb. fat azz around just nicely. Considering new? Would...

    99 wolvy headpipe

DMC Alien sells a kit or did. Header, mid & can. Get your wallet out for that one. I don't think a Warrior header will fit as none of the exaust cans for Warrior cross to a Wolvy. I'm not sure. A motor head here in the forums suggested: Take headpipe off, grind birdpoop weld on inside of...

    manual clutch kit 05 wolverine

Cost & Difficulty of repairing front axle bearings?

Hi, Sinned on 06-10-08 had a post & Glenn replied with a real nice write-up. When I did mine, didn't press off upper a-arm as I un-bolted from frame & left it attatched to the spindle. A little awkward but manageable. Put spindle in vice & cut a 2x4 to support other end and pound bearings...
