With the Bigwheel kit and the Sheave I have Noticed a few things..
I have lost a bit of top speed but i think its only the speedometer.. now im on 2 inch taller tires.. (25") so it might very well be the same or greater..
Alot higher rpm to engage the drive system..
Better low to...
Nice Upgrade,, I put the 25" XL's on 3 weeks ago.. i noticed a bit of a slow down as far as getting up to speed.. but far better then the stock tires for the snow.. and ya at less then 5mph it rides like a old tractor.
I know myself im going to order aftermarket rims and remount my stock...
Just received today from the home of anything fast for my 07 wolverine...
Its gonna be a few weeks before i get it installed but i will update on the results for sure..
Mine has been put to work over the winterly months.. we got 2 plus feet of this white stuff now..
Plus in my area our trails are closed to ATV's to allow the snowmobiliers there time off from complaining to ride there machines..
I was looking for a mud/trail tire too.. and came down to the mudlite and the bearclaw's..
I got the 25" ITP Mud Lite's as they were in stock at my local dealer.. as the dealer said they are both a very nice all around tire which will also get you out of the mud wheres others wouldn't...
If your looking for more grip you can mount aftermarket tires to you stock rims
I put 25" mudlites on my stock rims for my 07 - this way the offset stays the same,,
My 07 Wolverine will do it normally if i run the same throttle for a long period f time - we have a few old access roads we run that are 3 and 4 miles long, we travel up them doing about 30-35mph and when i let off the throttle it backfires.. same as the kodiak.
