No fuel was leaking out of the over flow. It idles and runs great, doesn't miss out, pulls through all the gears. Just with an air filter, or open piece of pipe it misses out and won't rpm. We even tryed the carb, a Mikuni VM36 round slide that came off the engine ,that I got from the guy I got...

Yes, if you just ran an open carb it ran great, better then all the adjustments we made on it. But one another poster on a different forum said he had the same problem when he would put just the airbox on and found that the connecting tube had a tiny crack in it, makes sense, I'll check that...
