Im not familiar with the aluminium but, I painted my trikes wheel many times and I found out that the best paint for chip/rust resistance is engine paint. I bought mine at Canadian Tire (autozone for USA). Its a high temperature paint and has NEVER chipped or rusted with many years of beating.
I do not recommend Campbell Hausfield, every one of their tools I have used sucked. Porter Cable is great, and Power Fist (from Princees Auto) is probably the cheapest in price I have found with decent quality.
The startor noise as mentioned above. Also: engine supports tend to crack, and the intake rubber boot, between the carb and the engine tend to slice/crack. Nothing very expensive, but always good to know.
