It seems like it was all the way in forward but maybe it’s that or could it possibly be the clutch not catching

When I first start my quad it goes into neutral then I put it in first it makes a clicking noise and won’t go into gear it will just sit and idle I shut it off and wait a few minutes and it fires right up and shifts into first I don’t know what the problem is
