This (I'm pretty sure) is Big Bertha. She only go bigger, steeper, and sandier towards 2002. And the rest of the pit was nearly 15-20x's larger. And to think I had this RIGHT across the street from my house.

I remember riding there when i was younger and my dad rode there all the time when he was a kid. those last 2 videos still look pretty cool and technical but no where close to as awesome as the pit. are the second and third vids in the same place as the first one? is it really all gone?

I don't know exactly where the 2nd and 3rd vids are located in the pit. I wanna say they are closer to the Bowman Rd side of the pit. From what I've heard Bertha is nearly gone. They keep making her smaller. And the security is posing as broke down riders and impounding bikes. Sold a cam to a guy on here from Jersey about 3 mos ago and he said if you stick to the white sand you don't get bothered much.

Dam genpat thats nice, used to have a nice sandpit at the end of my street but thats long gone, just a little bit left and cops sit between me n the pits normally.

It really was sweet man. Used to go there 4th of July and watch the fire works from the top off the hills.

thats what happened to bertha? wtf, i rode it back in 01 on a yz250 and it kicked my butt

They took her down. Some of her is still there, but they made her take jenny craig:( That hill used to give modded banshees trouble.

i've only been there a few times, but the one time the one guy had a modded/chromed banshee, tried showing off, no helmet or shirt, went up and rolled the whole way back down backwards. i know i barely made it on my yz250 back then, really started losing steam 3/4 of the way up and i was getting real concerned lol. bogged it up the rest of the way and didnt try it again

Beartha nearly doubled in size, from the 1st vid I posted, towards the lat 90's. Atleast that's what I remember.

Yeah that 1st vid takes ya back don't it? Lol. That place really was a little slice of heaven. Had everything in it. Beach sand, hard packed, mud, peanut butter, hills, play hills, bowls, etc... Makes me sick. I thought moving here I would have some cool places to ride, but, I was wrong.
