Hi guys, quick vid of my warrior making the strange starter noise...apologies for poor sound, the cheap camera makes the engine sound like a ticking wreck, its actually pretty quiet in real life!

Would appreciate anyone "confirming" the starter clutch is worn, and are they all the same from birth to 1997? Mines a 97 and since I have to order them from the states, I want to get the right parts!

Thanks very much.

Ya the starter clutch is on its way out.. It could make that snapping noise for awhile before the bearing finally lets go.
The noise is the fingers in the bearing falling onto flywheel, and catching just a bit as the crank stops turning..
You might wanna grab a new bearing, and flywheel just to have. For when the inevitable happens.
And no they aren't all the same. The first gen 87-89 have a different flywheel. The ones after that are all the same I believe?
