Recently discovered that it's bad for my clutch to have oil with friction reduction additives like the synthetic does. But also learned that it's bad to switch from synthetic to conventional. What do you guys recommend I do?

It's not bad to switch from synthetic to conventional. And synthetic isn't bad as long as it is motorcycle or atv approved.
Actually, all oil you run should be motorcycle/atv/wet clutch approved conventional or not.

As long as it doesn't say energy conserving in the API rating circle, you can use it with a wet clutch.
