went to change out my pilot jet the other day and basically tore the slotted head right off. anyone know how to get it out without totally bitching up the threads. i was gonna drill it out but afraid of screwing it up even more

yeah i was gonna go that route, just curious to see if their has been any other success stories haha. i can just see it going bad, its small and in that deep well, can really see once i start drilling

Well it didn't snap it just didn't loosen up and them being brass and soft the screwdriver just kinda mutilated the slot on top of it.

Put the carb on the ground with a rubber mat or something under it. Put it so the jets are facing up. Get the best screwdriver that will fit and give it a few LIGHT taps with a hammer. Then put your body weight on the screwdriver while you try to unscrew it. Same exact thing that happend with mine and thats how I got it out.
