my buddy has a 2000 warrior are the stator plugs the same from year to year
i have a spare motor from like a 87 moto 4 same motor wondering it it will work? the stator that is..
 
plugs are different and pick up coils are different so are the flywheels magnets which activate the pick up coils

Actually the pick up coils are the same threw the years whats different is how many, as early models had 2. As are the source coils. Technically you can rewire a stator to work in a different year, BUT its not reccomended. Mainly because you could change the signal the cdi gets and then you are in the same boat you were in before. Besides that it being used it could go out in no time anyway, so in the end its better to just buy new with the plugs you need.
