Stator issues possibly

So I've had issues with my bike kicking over, running for a minute or two, and then cutting out. It gets gas. Brand new spark plug and still no go. And also I can only get it to start once before it cuts out. Idk what to do:argh:

Have you tested to make sure you have good, strong, consistant spark?

It sounds like a stator issue. Are you able to test the stator and coil's resistance?

Would I need like a multimeter for that?
