stator and pick up coil testing

ive seen it on here but cant find it, i still havent figured out my starting problems and after going through the clymer the colors of the wires they are telling me to test are not the same as mine. I am wanting to test my stator and pickup coil so i can see if its time to order a new cdi. any help on this or pictures of the correct plugs would be great. a refresher on my problems... wont start, has fuel and spark, sometimes will start when hot, pop starts immediatly, will start immediatly on 40 amp charge.

aw man sounds like you have to get a rickys stator and another ing. coil....i had same prob lol cept i just got another stock stator...i think its bout done too ha darn...
