okay so i did a new top end on my raptor and am waiting on my timing chain so the cam cover and stator cover and fly wheel are off and theres no timing chain on
i see the mark on the top cam cover and the cam sproket thay are pointing at each other

now there is another timing mark on the crank sproke and the housing to the top left ish of the sproket whare its at top dead center

if i put the cain on with the marks whare thay are will it be in time or 180 degrese out?

Arrow on the head & mark on the cam sprocket mated up with mark on the cam sprocket up. Bring the piston to tdc & look down through the sight hole in the top of the left side case & make sure you see the T mark. There's one for time & one for fire, you want the T. That should be correct. We have a sticky for timing it I think. That's Prolly more descriptive than my post & Prolly has pics too, been a while since I looked at it.

dot to arrow is tdc
