these white ones have a flat section molded into the rubber mud flap on the left side... i hate it.. so i have to find some new trim for that... but other than this it is pretty nice! they should clean up very well

ran the fenders to the power washer last night, got all the decals off them... i am going to start with 220 grit and go up to 1000 grit, either that or i may use some 3m pads and scuff the whole thing for a satin finish... you can see the rear fender has some nice scuffs in it

I also had a buddy give me a set of 660 shocks for the front of my quad... now to hunt the forums and see what it will take to mount these up if that is even possible

JRK your doing the exact same color code setup as me,, ive been fighting with getting my fenders all smoothed down too, want mine factory shinny thow, ive already sanded them but gotta wet sand with 1000 then probly 1200 or more then use some compound,, got my black gastank cover about two days ago but gotta get my hood smooth first!!

i am going to wrap it... going to use alot of flat white powder on this quad as well so i want to keep the plastics dull... that is why i am not going to go very high on the sand paper... i plan on doing one of deadlast's wrap... thank you for the tip on the shocks i will save them for golf cart build hahaha...

well i think i know what i am going to do to the motor now... going to pull the head, port them and do the valves, do a stage1 hot cam, and then the pipe... may do 38mm carb as well if i can find a good deal. Does anyone have a used cam for sale by chance?

did not get much done this weekend... had a ton of customer stuff to knock out... but did get a delivery from a customer that has a bunch of quads. dropped off some rims and tires to see if we could use any, also got my front fenders on

I am trying to decide if i want to pick up a set of 8in rims and run 20's off those... I heard if i go with the 8in rims i can not run 18 due to carrier clearance, i plan on running the 14/40 gears

Dude you really need to ditch the tires that are on your quad. They look bad IMO..
Some 21x6 or 22x7 up front, will help it steer easier. And a 20x10-11 or 22x11 on the rear is a good choice. I recommend a flatrack'n tire, over one with a rounded contact patch.

Hey bud these are actually not my tires... they are from one of our customers that has a ton of quads. he knew i wanted new tires and is trying to work out a deal so he dropped off what he had and told me to pick what i can use... and we will work out a trade for some powdercoating... i was hoping i could use some of the ITP wheels (there are 3 sets there) but they are off a honda and will not fit my hubs.

100% agree, that is the plan! i am going to keep my tires for winter riding though, and the gearing.

ok... not much to update, been super busy in the shop...but rolled another bike out and spent a few hours on the quad
I am still looking for a stage 1 hot cam if anyone has one for sale

narrowed down what i want to do with it... got my powder on order... here is my inspiration

then i moved on to the fenders to clean them up before i start to work with deadlast for a wrap... i read online of 100 ways people clean up fenders... i decided to go simple, course, med, fine sandpaper... works really good actually. using sanding blocks like you would for auto body. plus this really flattens out the color and that i really like as i am planning on doing flat white, texture black, and the blue you see above
