Polished wheels

So has anyone ever tried to strip the gold anodizing from the stock wheels and polish it. I have done it to smaller things, the anodizing will come off pretty quickly with easyoff oven cleaner, then you just wet sand and buff to the desired shine. Am thinking of doing it, wanted to know if anyone else has and how it turned out.....

Thanks for the info, see you had some bad luck with that. Sorry you were misinformed, yea it only takes a couple minutes for that stuff to peel away and rinse off. I will probably give it a shot when I take the rest apart for paint.
