been looking to buy one for a few months... been looking for one for the past month and finally got it today! sold the LTZ to buy it haha. Remington model 700 SPS tactical AAC-SD .308

The Remington 700 SPS Tactical AAC-SD rifle is all business. It's made for law enforcement and military or anyone who requires precision accuracy in a lightweight package. It features a 20" heavy barrel for maximum rigidity, giving you consistent results from one shot to the next. Remington 700 SPS Tactical Rifle Features:
• Receiver machined from solid bar stock for uniformity and strength
• X-Mark Pro® externally adjustable trigger system

I miss my old .308

of course it was a british .308 war rifle, i even had the bayonet!
frickin thing was old, and a wieghed a tonne!
dropped many a deer, and the odd moose, and several coyotes with her.

but then they came out with all those gun laws and crap up here in canada, and by that time, it wasnt worth it to hunt anymore, so i gave it back to the ol man.

used to be u could go buy a couple tags for like 30$ each, fuel was cheap, cut n wrap etc myself. it was a good way to stock the deep freeze. now, tags are expensive, fuels expensive, its cheaper to just go buy meat at the store.. so screw it. lol

at anyrate, that is a very nice rifle! I'd rock that!

35mm tube! it's the scope the U.S. military puts on the Barrett .50's
it's set me back about $480 and then i shall start on the gun! custom trigger, bolt work (fluting, tactical knob, ETC) new stock at some point.... that'll be close to last cause the one i want is EXPENSIVE!

Guns are one thing i dont skimp on! when i say it'll happen by god it may take me years to set it up like i want it but this will be a full fledged sniper rifle ;) damn i love guns <3

OK! so i couldn't wait for a millett lol so for time being i dropped $200 on a BSA 3-9x40mm Stealth Tactical <3

That's the shifter knob from my uncle's '68 Plymouth!
Looks way cool, and functional.

Is the finish like a Parkerized?

I did my aluminum framed Hungarian PPK copy .380 carry piece in KalGard Gun Kote. Was a spray bomb, baked on semi-flat finish that was sorta like thin bedliner. Looked great, cured hard, but chipped off and turned to crap in a hurry. So I stripped it and polished it.

Keep postin' the updates.

the bolt knob is anodized flat black so it's just smooth but it fit's your hand GREAT! and the barrel is just matte bluing and the bolt is a dura coat kinda stuff... it's kinda like real thin bed liner too but it's ******* tough!

i want to have the bolt and barrel fluted but need the $ first lol. next is a muzzle break to direct the sound down range. bore lapping and locking lug lapping. right now with the setup i have at 100 yards i can stack 5 shots in a hole the size of a nickel (that with hand loads that i've worked out to shoot best in my rifle) and thats with cheap hunting bullets. lapping the bore and locking lugs should bring the grouping in alot tighter at distance... i'm trying to get it setup to hit 1ft x 1ft targets with every shot at 1000 yards... i'm close now! :p not bad for a factory rifle and a $200 scope!

i have $1012.96 in the rifle scope and all so far! i'm going to try to keep it under $1500 (without a aftermarket chassis system)
