motor ticking

i noticed that after i warm up my machine and run it for a bit, the engine seems to make a ticking noise when idling, more noticable after riding than how it was before its run. Is this common with the 4 strokes? I'm used to riding a blaster and never heard that ticking before

Warriors do tick a bit, but you may want to check your valve adjustments. The intake is usually the one that ticks more often

Check your valve clearance. Mine was ticking when I bought it and to my surprise the adjuster bolt and nut on the intake side had completely backed off all fallen into the cavern beneath the cam.
