Ok so the main jet screws into a copper tube. Well when I turn the main jet the copper tube turns as well. Seems to be stuck to the tube, I tried WD-40 (even let it soak over night)

How screwed am I?????

Any suggestions??

Ok so I used some vicegrips and got the Main jet out, I think ....

Here is a pic of the carb and the main jet and washer:

Here is a closer look at the main jet tube

See anything that would prevent me from buying a rebuild kit and moving foward?

The main jet seems awfully small, did I get the whole jet out?

yeah you got the main out. Does look small. Any numbers on it?

I say move forward.

145 is the stock size jet. And yes the jets look small they are an old style jet. They don't use them in the new quads anymore that I know of. If your treads are good where the jet was I say buy a rebuild kit or cean the hell out of it and put it back together. A new jet is only like $5.00 from a shop

I ordered a rebuild kit.

Any idea why it was stuck in there?

I just bought the quad, for all I know its been in there for 14 years (its a 1996).
