Lid or Customize or NO Lid?

So i'm getting a Pro Design K&N Kit for my bike. Should i ride with No Lid or should i buy the Outerwears lid? Also Should I customize my current lid? I'm looking for the best possible scenario to run. I will be re-jetting at same time. TY

if real super dirty modify ur lid and rivet an outerwear cover over it or just have no lid i never had problem on any bikes

The lid is there for a good reason, You can speed up the wear process on your motor a lot by not using one . Even the best filter will let some dust in . Id use it .

Just have a good filter system and take care of it (oil and clean it regularly) and you'll be fine with out it, plus you'll get some added HP.
