My buddy has a 87' KDX200 that is currently out of comission.
Does anyone know of any kawi forums sos i's cans gets some help wit this?

The rider is most of the problem or at least the beginingHAHA but seriously, he is. All i have to say is, at 22yrs (the bike) he finally bought a new air filter for it. Need i say much more?

Pretty much though he ran it til it dun run no more.
For starters 1)his clutch lever never worked so he just power shifted all the time. Eventually the clutch just quit or siezed up.
2) brakes aren't there anymore(lever or drums) front and rear.
3) I'm sure it needs a rebuild and carb cleaned
4) throttle toasted along with the handlebars from being dumped and ghost riden
Its a big mess but fixin its not the hard part, its findin parts for it. I've been looking for a rear fender for a full year among other things. Any good parts sites besides OEM would be a great help.

If the bike is 22 years old with no maintenance at all you might want to do a top end before the piston shatters. Bike sounds pretty beat but the KDX200 / 220's were kick ass woods bikes. Bikebandit.com has an OEM parts program, I've used them before with positive results.

I'd say in all them years it probably has only 100 hours max. But he was looking to build up the engine a bit.

the hardest part to find it seems would be the rear fender. Bike Bandit has it for $74 but i never see it parted out from anyone.
