I've had to re-seal the gasket on my air filter 3 or 4 times now. Ever time I open the air box the gasket is loose from the filter even when it was factory fresh. I've been using the "side by side" Loctite epoxy to re-apply it and let it cure for 24 hours before putting it back in the air box every time.

Do I need to clean it better before I epoxy it back together? Is there another way?

Seems like it's always coming off. Using Loctite epoxy if that makes any difference. Is there soemthing better?

Real annoying.

well got some silicone sealant. Hopefully it will hold better.

Ditch the stock slip in filter and get a clamp on adapter you screw to the air box.

Ebay
Pro design air filter/adapter
they are spendy but a ton safer to keep everything sealed

I'm assuming you can't get just the adapter without the filter? I don't see how it would fit.f Wish I had known about these before I bought that K&N already.

Maybe I could make holes in the corners of the plastic plate and work them in somehow to the airbox directly.
