does any body know what is the size difference between the fmf jet kit and the mikuni one? i heard the fmf is on another scale

I can help this much, go down to the Yami dealer and get a few Mikuni jets for the Warrior. Stock is 145, and they go 147.5, 150, 152.5,155, 157.5, and 160. For like a pipe and filter, 147.5 to 155 is all you'll need, and there like $4.00 ea. I would go the Mikuni route, it keeps it simple. To use the other type jet kits you to change the needle too, and that just means taking you carb appart more.

I read they are NOT the same numbers, heres a chart i found. Hope it helps.

have you tried mikuni's website? I think you can get them on dennis kirk too..it might just be easier to go to the dealer though...then you could talk to somebody and find out what ya need for sure

i have a hmf pipe and jet, the jet they gave me is a 152, not sure which brand jet i got tho. might me a dyno jet they gave me. not sure ;)

No, don't get dynojet kits, they suck. There are 2 big pains in the ass about them, aside from the fact that you end up buying 11 jets and a needle that you don't need. Their sizing scale is all fucked up so you can't really refer to what an exhaust manufacturer recommends, and what others are running. The second is that the stock mikuni jets are large rounds, with the plastic splash dish that fits over them. The dynojets are small rounds, so that splash plate doesn't work with them. Dynojet just says to throw it in the trash. Hmm, i wonder if maybe that was actually installed from the factory for a reason... yeah it was. My quad would never bog out when it landed jumps and rallied through real rough sections when it was stock, but then when I rejetted it with the dynojet kit and removed that dish it would bog out all the time.

The fmf kit is just a dynojet kit with a different sticker, if you haven't figured that out already.

I'm not sure exactly what you want to hear. The kit should have came with jetting recommendations, just try following what they recommend for your mods. Most of us don't have the dynojets at all, and regardless of that, jetting is going to be a little different for everybody because there are so many variables.

I've seen this chart before, and it just doesn't make any sense. I know that the columns aren't lined up right, but that's not the confusing part. They're saying that a 152.5 mikuni is the same as a 160-something dynojet. That's definitely not right, I know from experience that a 152.5 mikuni is somewhere around a 134 or 138 dynojet. The sizes that come with a dynojet kit also back this up. If that chart were correct, that would indicate that even the largest jet in a dynojet kit would be smaller than than the stock jet. That's definitely not the case, because the kits would be completely useless if it were true.

yea i knew fmf were dynojet kit and i made a mistake buying them a long time ago but i didnt understand that chart either i was looking at it and said how could the stock be bigger than the dyno jet i was confused
