ignition literally popped out w/ key in it

Went to start it the other day, put key in, the ignition literally popped out with the key still in it. WTH? So do I need to buy a new ignition barrel or is it fixable?

How about this... bike shop told me to take this and the other part of the ignition to a lock shop and see if they could work it out.

Just go buy a new one on ebay. You can get a new ignition and 2 keys for less than $10.
