How do you make air scoops?!?!?

Can some one please let me now how to make air scoops and were to mount them on the warrior!! :'(
 
some good ol aluminum and molding hammer, and some patrients to work out the aluminum...
 
you get aluminum at a Hardware store... and you can get clamp bolts or sumthing... or be redneck and use ducktape!... lol na just like C bolts or sumtin.. or find a emty mount and make a adaptor for it to fit... i dont know i have a rapta not warria

Yup, 3 bucks is all.

Obviously it will depend on the thickness you get. and that will also determine how easy it is to work with.
 
If you get some of the thicker stuff you can anneal it with an oxy-acetylene torch prior to shaping so it will be softer. Then when your done you can quench it to get some of the stiffness back.

Do the air scoops really make that much of a difference?
 
Well, its not a quantifiable gain.

But the more are you can get going over an air cooled engine, the better.

Well i know what i am experimenting with this weekend !!

....should be real effective when i get my coiler on there too...
 
When i get done making mine we'll see how good it comes out...maybe i could make some more............... :cool:
