Was just out starting my bike and playing with the carb needle when i noticed a hairline crack in the carb to head boot. Didnt really think to much about it so i threw the carb in and started it and it idle'd real high. Thought it was the idle screw but i never touched it and when i push the carb towards the head it idles down. Turns out that crack was a rip and it went all the way around the boot and it was making it idle super high. Good thing i got a raptor with a good boot

The boot for the raptor is like 2 mm off...which just sucks but that boot is also all rubber and a tad bit shorter. It looks to me like the stock boot has an extender on it with only a small crack so im going to just go over it with jb weld.
