Help for a newbie?

I recently purchased a 2002 Warrior 350. Love it. Runs amazing but it seems to be falling out of gear. I have adjusted the clutch and forward reverse lever with no help. I have a direct shifter that should be here tomorrow. if that doesn't help im going to replace the transmission.

My question is. Should I try to rebuild the transmission myself or should I just purchase a new bottom end?

if you rebuild it yourself i would get a clymer repair manual it has lots of details

is there anyway I can do it with out having to do the top end too?

all you have to do is take the head and the cylinder apart you dont have to take the valves apart. you wont have to re-gap the rings i am almost positive.
