gearing for top speed

I ride the local river in the winter and am thinking of 17/36 gearing what do you guys think top speed will be with 20" tires. My friend rides a yfz450 and i would like to stay with him this year.

15 40 is max id think anyone should ever go

16/40 is like 85mph top speed so i wouldnt push much past 14/36

I ran a 14 front 38 rear on my 87 with 22" mud lites. It lost some low end but was really fast top speed. Made flying throw feilds a blast.

15/38 is the fastest I have found on my 350. 15/36 slows it down more because it doesn't have the power to pull the gearing.
