Yesterday I went out to start my warrior. Turned the gas on, pulled the choke out, tried to start, no fire. Smelled gas and noticed gas leaking out of a small hose coming out the carb. It was not the gas line from the tank to the carb, but it looks more like a vent tube. I closed the shut off valve and it started and the gas stopped out of that line. SO What is that hose and why was it leaking gas? Thanks

Gas is leaking out the over flow.. This happens when the float gets stuck in the down postion or dirt gets in the needle and seat on the float assembly to stop fuel flow. Sometimes you can drain out the gas in the bottom of the carb by turning the screw on the bottom letting all the gas drain out then turning the fuel back on. Otherwise you'll have to pull the bowl and find out if the float is junk or needle and seat have dirt in them or are bad.

OK thanks. That's what I figured it was "flooding". I'll drain it out and see what I find. Is there a gasket on the bowl that I will have to buy before I take it apart? Thanks for the fast response.
