I am in the process of removing my flywheel to change the one way bearing, timing chain, and lightweight flywheel. Problem is PO must of stripped the threads on my flywheel. Now I can now thread my flywheel puller on.

What can I do? I am not really worried about damaging the flywheel since I am replacing the the old one with a lightweight flywheel. I just dont wanna hurt the crank.

You can try taking a small air sawzall and cut hash marks every 90* in the pullers threads. This will make it it's own die and should bite, and cut, onto the damaged flywheel threads. Just make sure to cut them at an anegle and in the proper direction. With the puller's threads facing you (flywheel side) cut the hash marks like this, /.
