float pin

i'm in the middle of rebuilding my carb and i cant seem to get the pin out that holds the float in. is it threaded or what? on one end, there isnt a slot or anything to unscrew it but it doesnt seem to want to come out. any suggestions?

i had that problem also i think i soaked it with some pb and gently tapped it out with a small punch and used vise-grips once i could get them onto the pin.

yeah, i've had it soaking in some pb and now just some carb cleaner. i'm gonna let it soak overnight. heard that those two ears break off pretty easy.
