crf/xr 50 problems

i didnt know where else to put this but i have a 01 xr 50 as a pit bike.. minor mods big bar kit, tall seat shocks... i bought the bike off a kit who stored it in a bad place i guess so at one point i found a bunch of dead bugs and dirt.. it slowly makes its way to the carb and clogges the main jet. i put cleaned the carb, cleaned the tank i best i thought i could, new fuel filter and a inline filter. now at WOT the bike still sputters. any ideas?

Did you check for spark

Hes gotta have spark if it s running. Just bogs at WOT, it may be getting more air then it was use to. Its jetted improperly? Or from what Ive read, bad wireing on the xr50s can lead to you issues. Check connections and grounding points.

and do a plug chop test to check and see if jetting is your issue and it may be a safty switch

Ya to check for spark strength, since its stock jetting cant be off. Ive found the stock filter sucks and gets clogged. Maybe the carb didnt get clean enough

i would do the stock filter mod and cut the back half off and check for air leaks
