I'm rebuilding my whole clutch on my 87, I'm confused about this splined washer, is it in the right spot? It doesn't make sense to me..

i believe that is part #7 and you are in fact correct... the scary thing is i dont remember seeing one of those on the raptor i helped a guy with the other evening! hopfeully it changed haha edit: it has not changed and hopefully it was there and i just didnt notice. it was a quick job

put it where it shows in the diagram. simple

You have it right. It sets there and keeps the basket on the shaft
