carb popping

every once inawhile my carb will pop...i took off the airfilter to see if it was flame popping out but it is just like a dust kinda....could this be something really seriouse?? or is the jetting just way out of wack.

sounds like it's running lean on the pilot jet. Turn the fuel screw out 1/2 turn and see if that helps.

When is it doing it? All the time, only at idle, only when cold, etc?

iom guessing when its cold, mine used to do it

yah it does it when it is cold starting...and also if i am putting around in 1st it will sometimes do it....
