can u bend back a steering stem?

i dont really feel like paying for another steering stem and was wondering if it was easy to bend them back, or if u could even bend them back.

Yes you can actually, my friend did it the hard way by hitting a stump on the opposite side. If you can find someone/some way of twisting it back you'll be golden. Those things are expensive for aftermarket.

Take it to a garage with a hydraulic press. They'll probably do a decent job for just a couple bucks.

I don't believe they ever changed the steering stem, but they might of after the 87 or 88's.
