MY brother called me up and said his 1993 Honda 300ex is overheating. He picked up the bike for cheap, but it sat for about 4 years prior. Drained the gas, and oil new plug, and rebuilt carb. The bike starts, idles and runs great. BUT after about 10 minutes, the engine gets EXTREMELY HOT and then shuts off. You have to wait about 30 minutes, and then it will start up again. Any suggestions. The bike is properly jetted. I was thinking valves needed to be adjusted?
