I,ve put in a rebuild kit in the carb, all the numbers of the jets I took out match the ones I put in.I did all the jets except the main jet. When I try to take it out the whole inside assembly turns?Anyway i cleaned it numerous times and it ran great for about three hours and when I turned it off it started doing the same thing again (dogging out after 1/4 throttle).Anyway hope you guys can help.

I had the same problem i ended up just putting a tiny drop of super glue on that sleeve that the main jet screws into and it worked perfect.

Thanks for the superglue advise it worked great. But my problem was that stupid emergency switch. The quad ran great after the rebuild of the carb, my exhaust header fell off and my bolts that hold the flange to the head fell out and are stripped. So any advice besides getting a new top jug would be much appriciated, and thanks for the help. Also I,ve been reading alot of posts and I,ve concluded I have a bad stator also.I,m gonna check the grounds, and test coil and all that before I make the purchase but which is better RM stator or Ricky Stator? Thanks again.

Not sure which is better but ricksmotorsportelectrics.com is who i have used and they are great!

if your talking about the ebrake switch it can be bypassed. as for the head studs, do you mean they are stripped or the jug it self

It's the holes in the jug.The top hole has about a 1\4 in depth and the bottom one is only about an 1\8 so im thinking it might have broke off in the jug.

worse case senario, take it to a ford dealership..
the plugs are notorious for stripping, then needing re-drilled n heli-coiled etc.

ford and snap-on even make special kits for it.. nothing like a 14 hour job to change plugs.

just an idea if you cant find anyone competent to do it. lol
but any shop should be able to.
