You have to bend the stocker slightly outwards, you can do it with your bare hand and it isn't even noticeable. You just have to make it clear the one screw head. Go through the trouble to make the direct shifter, well worth it!!!

How's yours holding up death? Kicked the **** out of mine and still running perfectly!!! Only prob I've had is the paint keeps getting fucked up from my boot scraping the side of the shifter, but I've used more coarse sandpaper and it seems to be doing better now.
