14 / 40 ... plenty of low end, and just enough on top to keep up with the 400s.

you will like that set up!!
 
Agreed , 14/40. When I changed to 20" rear tires I hated the gearing being so low. Bumped the front to a 14t and its great. Plenty of low end with enough top end for anything I need. Well unless I'm trying to race with a 700r and a quadracer 450......
