I want to take the black edging off the fenders, leaving only the blue exposed... just to see what it will look like. Only thing is I have no idea how to get those damn rivets off. If anyone has pics please post. Help?

if you are selling the bike in a month or two keep the fenders on!!
i learned my lesson at a dealer.

Naw I'm not gunna sell it until late late fall... then get a YFZ :)

Thanks for the help, I'll just leave them on for now and get some sleep

If you just want to see how it looks you can just drill out the rivets. It's easy to drill them out, and once you cut them there's no going back if you don't like it.

posted a few pics in the post...

yea keep em on bro. if your doubtful then i wouldn't do it

I've actually had the fenders off completely for the last two weeks or so... I like how it rides but hate how it looks.... which is why I am going to cut them.

yea i understand... it will definatly look much better than no fenders.

post some pics if you come through with the cut

I used a simple drill bit in a dewalt 18v and they came right off! new rivets if ya dont like it and presto!

Yep, that's all it takes. They're aluminum rivets, so it doesn't take much to get them out.
