Hey everyone. My axle bearings are being a pain and will not fit back into the carrier right. The side with the brake caliper has plenty of room for the bearing and seal. but on the sprocket side, the bearing doesnt fit all the way (hangs out maybe 1/8in), so the seal and dust cover definately are too far out. I tried putting the axle nuts on (only 1 will fit right now) to pull the bearing in and its just not doing it.

There is steel that looks to be part of the carrier blocking the bearing on the sprocket side but leaves plenty of room on the caliper side. Do i need it to be pressed or what?

Please share your knowledge!!!

Thanks a lot,
Pat

did your bearings fall apart as you were trying to take them apart? sometimes when they are beat to hell they like to come apart and the outter ring of the bearing stays inside the carrier and it become a pain in the ass to get out. i had this problem before on the sproket side..
