Yeah, they're a bit too long. I've seen people modify the upper mounting tabs (basically cut them off and drill new holes higher up) which can maintain stock ride height and not over-stress the ball joints, but i'm not a big fan of permenantly modifying the frame for any reason. Especially for the 400 shocks, it's not much of a step up from the stockers.
