366cc or 397cc?

Ha! Good, i hope it all works out good for ya. What kinda carb you gonna go with? Is the head anything special?
its got massive porting and i know its got a race carb 38 or 39 mm, hes throwing in a new +1mm intake valve and a high compression piston plus all the bearings and gaskets to get it together
 
Not yet I'm waiting on the weilder shop and I talked to Mr jesup (my machine shop Guy and ex motor cycle racer) and he said it would work because he's done it before with motorcycles befor

.20in = 0.5mm
.40in = 1.0mm
.60in = 1.5mm
.80in = 2.0mm

stock is 83 mm i do believe

actually it is

.020" = .5mm over
.040" = 1.0mm over
.060 = 1.5mm over
.080 = 2.0mm over

stock is 3.26771 (83mm)
.020 (.5mm) oversized is 3.287 rounded (83.5mm)
.040 (1.0mm) oversized is 3.307 rounded (84.0mm)
.060 (1.5mm) oversized is 3.327 rounded (84.5mm)
.080 (2.0mm) oversized is 3.346 rounded (85.0mm)

to convert metric to inches take the number times .03937 (83mm x .03937=3.268 rounded)
to convert inches to metric, take the number timse 25.4 (3.268 x 25.4=83.0 rounded)



to calculate cc's for this engine, take Radius x Radius x Height x Pi x 16.387064

Radius equals (on a stock bore, will change when bored) = 3.26771 (83mm)/2= 1.633855
Height (stroke) = 2.539365 (64.5mm stroke)
Pi = 3.141592654

stock cc's =1.633855 x 1.633855 x 2.539365 x 3.141592654 x 16.387064=348.98 cc's
.020 (0.5mm) bored over (83.5mm) bore = 353.199 or 353 cc's
.040 (1.0mm) bored over (84.0mm) bore = 357.442 or 357 cc's
.060 (1.5mm) bored over (84.5mm) bore = 361.7099 or 362 cc's
.080 (2.0mm) bored over (85.0mm) bore = 366.003 or 366 cc's
 
well i didnt mean it like that, just was reading through this, good opinions on these kits. if anyone is interested, i could make a chart with all the cc's sizes, with stroker kits available for the warriors so it would be easier to see when someone bores or strokes their engine to see what they then have. im in an engine class right now so im learning all of this at the moment. i did get carried away though
 
you know I was looking at hotrods site and saw this http://www.hotrodsproducts.com/TunersTips.aspx?ItemID=36&page=1 makes me wonder if you cut the releave into a piston if you can use it instead of the hotrods stroker piston. If so you would be able to use a JE or wiesco piston which cost less and when the time comes you could bore the jug to 85mm. I think I'll try to remember to call them monday I tried Friday but they were closed already. What you guys think?
 
if its with a +4mm stroker kit and .080 over it would be 388.70 cc's
compared to a +4mm stroker kit at .040 at 379.61 cc's

if its with a +7mm stroker kit and .080 over it would be 405.72 cc's
compared to a +7mm stroker kit and .040 over at 396.23 cc's

So I just got off the phone with hot rods. They told me that they haven't made the +7mm stroker since 08. I saw some on ebay still. Also the piston they use for their stroker kit started out made by CT then Weisco made them and now they are made by Vertex. Also if you want to run another bore instead of 84mm you will either have to have the piston custom made, or run a thinker base and gead gasket becuase the wrist pin is moved up higher on the piston. And I asked about hp gain with the +4mm stroker a stage2 cam and mild port. He told me 11%. That is crap, stock warrior is 22 + 11% = 24.72. Not worth $650.00(with cam) to me
 
Dave76 also BARELY ever rode that beast. So who knows how reliable it is. Like i said these motors can only take so much heat before they start eating bearings


Yupp, why you think gasmans went out. Its a risky move btu still cool. Awesome math work 91, I always wanted to see that break down. I've been feed and carrying a lie for long enough, I only have a 362cc warrior :tdown:. Yet another reason why my cam is to big for my quad.
 
But on the positve you still have a bore left in the jug. Might get another horse out of it when it needs the bore.:tup:

egh, new bore = new piston. And I like runnin the 11:1 ratio. 11:1 are hard to find now a days.
