What is the best way to use 12mm tie rods? Are these a Yamaha part or something else? Will they bolt right in or do you need to ream the steering stem and hub?

Thanks!

they are from an 06 or newer yfz 450.... they fit just like the 10mm ones no need to reem anything out..... if you have +3wicked aarms you can actually run the tierods and ends of a yfz

The honda style ones are nice too. The rods are male on both ends and the ball joints are female. Opposite of the Yamaha style, which are prone to break right at the base of the ball joint.

Watch out about that, most of the Honda style ones are the cheap chinese ones, Tusk and trailtracksand.com's for sure and probably some others. Buy those and you'll be lucky if they last a year, the joints are garbage.

I have had real good luck with ASR's 12mm kits as well as other generic ones on Ebay, if you break a 12mm rod or end you probably also did a lot of other damage at the same time, I have yet to break one on the warrior or 700.
